ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A full court reference to pay tributes to the services of outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Asif Saeed Khosa is underway at the Supreme Court (SC).  Judges of the top court, Pakistan Bar Council vice chairman and Supreme Court Bar Association President are attending the reference. Addressing a ceremony, Additional Attorney General Amir Rehman said that the evidence was ignored in the trial of former president and military dictator Pervez Musharraf. “Special court verdict is against basic rights and criminal justice tradition. Such Judge, who has this type of conduct, cannot be a Judge of a high court,” he mentioned. Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa is retiring today. He will be replaced by Justice Gulzar Ahmad who will take oath as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan tomorrow. President Arif Alvi will administer him the oath.
