Funeral prayers for martyred Major Ishaq offered

LAHORE (92 News) – The funeral prayers for Major Ishaq, who was martyred yesterday in Dera Ismail Khan, was offered in Lahore on Thursday. Major Ishaq will be laid to rest in Cavalry Ground Army Graveyard with full army protocol. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Corps Commander of Lahore, Lieutenant General Amir Riaz, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, senior military and civil officials and other personalities attended the funeral prayer. A large number of people belonging to different segments of society also participated in the funeral prayer of the martyr major. Earlier on Wednesday (yesterday), Major Ishaq was martyred in an exchange of fire during a search operation at a terrorist hideout in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan. The funeral prayer of the martyred was also held in Dera Ismail Khan which was attended by the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
