Martyred ANP leader Haroon Bilour laid to rest in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The martyred ANP leader Haroon Bilour, son of the slain Bashir Bilour, was laid to rest in their ancestral graveyard on Wednesday. Thousands of people, including Aftab Sherpao, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Ameer Haider Hoti, Asfandyar Wali, Shahi Syed and Sardar Hussain Babak, attended the funeral at Wazir Bagh. Stringent security arrangements had been made on the occasion. ANP leader Haroon Bilour was among 20 people martyred in a suicide attack which took place in Peshawar on Tuesday night in the Yakatoot area moments after Bilaour arrived there to address a corner meeting. As many as 62 people were injured in the suicide attack and are being treated at Lady Reading Hospital. Haroon Bilour was contesting the July 25 elections from Peshawar's PK-78 constituency. Bashir Ahmed Bilour, a senior ANP leader, was also martyred in a suicide attack on December 12, 2012 after a party meeting. A case over the incident has been registered at Agha Mir Jani Shah police station on the complaint of SHO Wajid Ali.
