LAHORE (92 News) – The funeral prayers for Tableeghi Jamaat Ameer Haji Abdul Wahab, who passed away early Sunday, have been offered in Raiwind. His funeral prayers were offered after Maghrib prayers at Tableeghi Markaz, Raiwind. Thousands of attendees participated in the funeral prayer of Ameer Haji Abdul Wahab. Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi and other notables were among thousands who attended the prayers. Tableeghi Jamaat Ameer Haji Abdul Wahab passed away after prolonged illness on Sunday morning. He was died at the age of 94. He had been under treatment from a long time and he was at ventilator from previous many days at a private hospital in Lahore. According to the family sources, late Haji Abdul Wahab was suffering breath and throat disorder and was under treatment from many days. Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, Punjab CM Usman Buzdar, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry Pakistan and several other senior politicians expressed sorrow over the demise of Haji Abdul Wahab. In his tweet, the prime minister said that invaluable services rendered by Haji Abdul Wahab as a religious scholar will always be remembered. He offered condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab, the Ameer of Tableeghi Jamaat. He said Haji Abdul Wahab rendered innumerable services for preaching and spreading the message of Islam. The Minister said that Haji Abdul Wahab has a prominent place among the religious leaders who endowed every moment of their lives for the cause of Islam. Federal Minister for religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri also expressed grief over the sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab. He said Haji Abdul Wahab's services for religious preaching will always be remembered. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri offered his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi have also expressed their expressed deep grief over sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab. Haji Abdul Wahhab died in Lahore after protected illness on Sunday. The late religious leader, who preached Islam for several years of his life, was the third ameer of the international Tableeghi Jamaat. Born in New Delhi in 1923, Haji Abdul Wahab migrated to Burewala in Vehari district after the partition. He studied at Government Islamia College in Lahore and also served as a tehsildar. Haji Abdul Wahab was associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat from the time of its founder Muhammad Ilyas Kandhlawi.
