Funeral prayers of two personnel who martyred in Rajanpur offered

RAJANPUR (92 News) – The funeral prayers of two personnel who martyred in Rajanpur were offered on Monday. The high ranked officials including the regional police officer (RPO), district police officer (DPO), the ranger’s commandant, deputy commissioner, many others political and social personalities attended the funeral ceremony. The funeral ceremony of martyred personnel was offered at police line with full state honour. Five police personnel were martyred and one other was seriously wounded when a group of criminals opened fire on their vehicle in Rajan Pur district last night. A spokesman of Rajan Pur Police said the police personnel were on routine patrolling in the limits of Arabi Tiba Police Station. He said all dead bodies and the injured policeman have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Rajan Pur. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed a deep sense of grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the policemen during the operation against criminals in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. In a statement, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the great sacrifice of policemen. He also sought a report from RPO Dera Ghazi Khan about the incident.
