ISLAMABAD (92 news) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government is in the process of making laws to ensure construction of buildings as per international safety standards. In a tweet on Saturday, the prime minister said that these laws will also allow the buildings to go as high as in other cities across the world. https://twitter.com/ImranKhanPTI/status/1101772380693807104 Imran Khan said his future vision for cities is to allow buildings to rise vertically and allow for more green spaces. “It is important because Pakistan is one of the most environmentally threatened countries.” The prime minister said that country’s arable land is being eaten up by housing societies and has grave consequences for our food security in the future. He said that avoiding large sprawling built-up areas will also allow easier provision of amenities to the urban dwellers.
