ISLAMABAD/LAHORE (92 News) – A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for the formation of a judicial commission to probe into the gang-rape incident on the Motorway. The petition filed by two female lawyers through Jahangir Jadoon contended that the incident should be thoroughly probed after establishing a judicial commission under the supervision of an in-service judge of the Supreme Court. The Federation, IGP Punjab, IG Motorways and Lahore CCPO have been made the party in the petition. The petition contended that Pakistan is among 10 countries where sexually harassment incidents occur. "As many as 14,850 incidents of kidnap and molestation of women, girls and children have been reported in Punjab in a year," it contended. The petitioners also demanded that responsible people should be identified after launching an effective probe into the gang-rape case. They also prayed to court to provide complete security to the victim. They also prayed for the removal of Lahore CCPO Muhammad Umar Sheikh.
