Gazetted notification issued for appointment of new COAS, CJCSC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The federal government has issued gazetted notification for appointment of new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Asim Munir and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

The appointment has been made for three years. The appointment of CJCSC Sahir Shamshad Mirza will be applicable from November 27, while the appointment of COAS Asim Munir will be effective from November 29.

According to the notification, the promotions and appointments have been made under Article 243 A and B, Article 48 and Section 8A and D of the Pakistan Army Act.
