PTI founder instigated workers to attacks, he is in jail for spreading unrest: PM

DAVOS (92 News) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has reiterated that the general elections will be held on the scheduled date of February 8.

In an interview with a foreign TV channel on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, he said that the international analysts would come to know about the transparency of the elections after their conduct. "The PTI founder instigated the workers to carry out attacks. He is in jail for spreading unrest and courts will decide about his cases," he added.

The PM said that the illegal immigrants are a threat to security. "Now only the people having legal documents will enter Pakistan."

About the economic situation, PM Kakar said that the IMF Board had approved the second tranche. "It has been priority of the caretaker government to bring economic revival and focus on growth and other economic indicators. We will also publish a white paper on the 4-5 month's performance of the caretaker government."

He called for the need for a regional approach to deal with the menace of terrorism. "We need to enhance the capacity of counter terrorism."
