Ghazi Abdur Rashid murder case: IHC conditionally annuls non-bailable arrest warrants for Musharraf

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Justice Anwaarul Haq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday conditionally annulled non-bailable arrest warrants issued for former president Pervez Musharraf in the Ghazi Abdur Rashid murder case. The court said that the warrants will be restored if Pervez Musharraf did not appear in court on the next hearing date. The counsel for Pervez Musharraf stated that his client was medically examined on the day when the arrest warrants were issued for him. The court remarked that the warrants were issued for the continuous absence of the accused. Akbar Bugti case: Balochistan DG Health Dr Farooq Azam presented the medical report of former president Pervez Musharraf in the anti-terrorism court No 1. The report was sent by the Sindh government to the Balochistan DG Health. ATC Judge Aftab Lone is hearing the Akbar Bugti murder case. In the report, it has been stated that Pervez Musharraf is a heart patient besides suffering from muscles problem. Hence, he cannot in appear in court. The court dismissed the plea of former interior minister Aftab Sherpao and Balochistan Home Minister Shoaib Nausherwani regarding exemption from appearance. The case has been adjourned until April 22.
