Gilgit Baltistan is more beautiful than Switzerland, says PM Imran Khan

SKARDU (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Gilgit Baltistan is more beautiful than Switzerland.

Addressing a ceremony after inaugurating Skardu and Jaglot-Skardu Road on Thursday, he said that poverty will reduce by promoting tourism. "The time will come when people will come to search jobs in Gilgit Baltistan," he added.

PM Imran Khan said that the inflation had increased across the world due to stoppage of the supply line due to coronavirus. He expressed the resolve to end poverty from the country.

The prime minister announced to give electricity, clean drinking water, Sehat card and loans for construction of houses.

Speaking on the occasion, Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that the past governments had not paid attention to Skardu.

He said the government had given funds for welfare of Gilgit.
