Girl death in Rawalpindi College: students protest against hostel admin

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A girl died at Government Post Graduate College For Women in Rawalpindi hostel and hundreds of students on Friday rallied against the college and hostel administration. As per reports, screams and cries of rage echoed in Rawalpindi as students protested against the hostel administration. The protestors have blocked the area outside the hostel and and raised slogans against the college administration. The college is located on Sixth Road. “A 20-year-old girl from Fateh Jang reportedly fell sick on yesterday night. We told the warden multiple times that she was sick but she didn’t give her medicine and she was not shifted to the hospital,” cried protesters. A fellow student aid that after she died, the administration tried to cover up their negligence by saying she committed suicide. Rescue 1122 workers arrived to take the body to the morgue but their way was blocked by the protesters. The young woman’s parents also say that they were never told that their daughter was sick.
