Girl poisoned to death over dowry in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A 20-year-girl was poisoned to death by her in-laws for not bringing the desired dowry in Baldia Ittehad Town. Azam, brother of the victim, told the police that Nadia was married to Kashif sometimes back. He said that her husband used to torture her for not bringing desired dowry. He said that his sister was later poisoned to death over the issue. After the incident, her husband and his father fled. Azam alleged that the police are using delaying tactics in the arrest of the culprits. On the complaint of her father, the police have registered a case and started investigations. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
