Girl raped on Punchayat orders to avenge rape in Multan

MULTAN (92 News) – In yet another tragic incident of violence against women, a man has on Wednesday raped a 17-year-old girl on the orders of a Punchayat (village council)  to avenge the rape of his sister. As per details, the inhumane incident took place in Multan’s Rajpur area after a Punchayat was convened after a 12-year-old girl was raped by a man. The Punchayat ordered to rape the 17-year-old sister of the accused who rapped 12-year-old girl. Later, the 17-year-old girl was raped by the victim’s brother in front of her parents and Punchayat members. Police have lodged a case and arrested at least 14 persons, including the head of the Punchayat. However, the main accused is still at large.
