Gold price hits historic high amid global tariff war
KARACHI (92 News) The ongoing global tariff war has brought the price of gold to new heights in the local as well as global markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold has surged by Rs7,800 to Rs328,800 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs6,688 to Rs281,893.
In the international market, the gold price has increased by $78 to $3,118 per ounce.
According to economic experts, due to the ongoing tariff war between the United States and China, gold is being purchased to protect capital.
On Thursday, the price of gold increased by Rs3,000 to Rs321,000 per tola, and that of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572 to Rs275,205.
On the other hand, the price of gold in the global market increased by $30 to $3,040 per ounce.
