KARACHI (92 News) – Former president Pervez Musharraf has said that there is no leader having vision in the country.

Addressing a ceremony organized by NGOs with regard to economy and law and order on Tuesday, he said that only good governance can end economic terrorism.

“Emergency should be imposed for 100 times for the betterment of the country,” he said. “Good leadership is the need of the hour,” he added.

The former president said that the Rangers were doing a good job. “Pakistan is rich in capabilities. There is no country better than Pakistan,” he said.

Pervez Musharraf said that Pakistan could earn billions of dollars through import and export. “The China Pakistan Economic Corridor can be a source of progress in the country,” he said.

He was of the view that Rs 15 billion could be saved by withdrawing a subsidy to the PIA, Railways and Steel Mills. “We cannot reduce the defense budget. We have to increase GDP production for tax.”

He said that the country had to pay attention to small traders instead of big ones for economic progress.

Pervez Musharraf said that the judiciary will have to play its role for improving situation in the country.

“How can the dialogues be possible when India is spreading terrorism in Balochistan and is not ready to talk on Kashmir?” he questioned.
