Good news for inflation-hit people as govt reduces power rate by Rs3.82 per unit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - People struck by inflation felt a sigh of relief after the government reduced the power tariff by Rs3.82 per unit for the month of April.

Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari said that the power rate had been reduced due to the quarterly and fuel price adjustment in comparison with the cut in the price of dollar.

After the fuel price adjustment, the price has been fixed at Rs4.92, but the fuel price reduced by Rs2.14 per unit.

The minister said that the people are being provided with maximum relief under instruction from the prime minister.
