KARACHI (92 News) – After an increase in the POL products prices, goods transporters have increased the fares by 12-15 percent across the country. Traders said that a vehicle charging Rs20,000 per trip is now charging Rs25,000 per trip after the increase in the petrol prices. A vehicle is charging Rs20,000 instead of Rs15,000 from Karachi to Quetta. All Pakistan Goods Transporters Association secretary general Tariq Nabeel said that it was compulsory to increase the fares. He demanded that the government should decrease the prices of the POL products otherwise they will take to streets. He said that almost 60 percent vehicles have already been parked due to coronavirus.
