KARACHI (92 News) Google Wallet has officially been launched in Pakistan, offering a seamless and secure way for users to make contactless payments, shop online, and store digital items like loyalty cards and boarding passes.
The service is now available for customers of several major banks, including Bank AlFalah, HBL, Meezan Bank, and UBL, with more financial institutions to be added soon.
To get started, users can download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store, link their debit or credit cards, and begin using their phones for payments both in-store and online.
The app also supports digital storage for travel documents, allowing passengers to save boarding passes from airlines such as Batik Air and Thai Airways.
With the growing adoption of smartphones and digital services in Pakistan, Google Wallet is set to play a key role in expanding the country’s digital payment infrastructure.
The launch is expected to enhance financial inclusion and provide a safer, more efficient way for Pakistanis to manage their payments and transactions.
