RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that the government and Pak Army are on the same page and there is no difference between them. Denying rumours, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa are in contact with each other. “It is mandatory for the progress of the country that they should remain in contact with each other,” he said. The DG ISPR said that meetings are held between the prime minister and the COS whenever there is need. “It is constitutional responsibility to support a democratic country,” he said. On November 13, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor had rejected speculations for amendment in Pak Army Act to implement the International Court of Justice (ICJ) verdict regarding convicted Indian terrorist Cdr Kulbushan Jadhav are incorrect. In a tweet on Wednesday, he said: “Speculations for amendment in Pak Army Act to implement ICJ verdict regarding convicted Indian terrorist Cdr Kulbushan Jadhav are incorrect.” The DG ISPR said that various legal options for review and reconsideration of the case are being considered. He said that the final status shall be shared in due course of time.
