Government decides to launch e-passport next year

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal government has decided to launch e-passport across the country.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday.

According to sources, the process of issuing e-passport will start from next year.  

The Interior Secretary, the NADRA chairman, DG Passport and Additional DG FIA also participated in the meeting.
