Government kneels before US pressure to open Save the Children; orders re-opening

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The government kneeled before the US pressure to reopen the international NGO Save The Children, with the Ministry of Interior in ordering previous sealing of the office to be held in abeyance till further orders. As per a document ordering related-authorities to reopen the offices of the international NGO across Pakistan, the government said that the competent authority desired that the action against Save the Children letter may be held in abeyance till further orders. Earlier, the government sealed the Islamabad office of the international NGO, ordering it to wind up all operations and leave the country in 15 days.
