Government reduces Rs 500m from Ramazan Relief Package

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has reduced Rs 500 million from the Ramazan Relief Package as compared to the previous year. The relief amount has been reduced from Rs two billion to Rs 1.5 billion. The amount will be given as a subsidy on 18 daily-use items, including sugar, flour, pulses and soft drinks. Under a programme continuing with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government is bound to make a significant cut in the subsidy being provided to the people.
