Government to bring all seminaries under Education Ministry: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that announced that the government had decided to bring all seminaries under the Education Ministry and all Ulema were agreed to the decision. Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that in the uniform syllabus of seminaries, there will be respect for all sects and there will be no hate material. “A student of the Jamia Rashidia was commissioned in the Pak Army.” Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that there were 30,000 seminaries (madrassas) in the country. “The number of seminaries promoting terrorism is less than 100.” He said that Islamic extremism could be eliminated through the uniform syllabus. “Pakistan is at 113 in the education rating of 139 countries.

He said that each Pakistan is ready to fight a war for Kashmir. “Kashmir runs in our veins and the thought of Kashmiris run in our veins. We will do whatever is needed for the independence of Kashmir,” he said.
No organized network of any terrorist organization
The DG ISPR said that there was no organized network of any terrorist organization. “Over 81,000 Pakistanis were martyred or injured in the war against terrorism,” he said. Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan had decided to end extremism long ago. “We share intelligence with 70 countries.” The DG ISPR said that Pakistan had conducted operations against terrorist organizations after 9/11/. “After the Afghan war, environment of Jihad was created in Pakistan. Pakistan was affected by bad conditions in Afghanistan,” he said. He said that Pakistan had reached these conditions after the past four decades.
Pashtuns should play role to strengthen Pakistan
Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa had ordered him not to speak harshly with the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) even though they speak wrongly. “I had also talked to Mohsin Dawar. “Why do the PTM leaders meet anti-Pakistan people? Whether you are part of Pakistan or Afghanistan?” The DG ISPR said that the PTM had taken liberty that they can get. “It is not a difficult task to deal with the PTM,” he declared. In his message in Pashtu, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor asked the Pashtun to join hands to strengthen Pakistan. “I profoundly salute the Pashtun brothers, sisters and youths. As a representative of the Pak Army, I want to give you a message that the Pak Army is yours. If Pakistan will be prosperous, we all including Pashtuns will be prosperous. If Pakistan suffers a loss, it will be the loss of all including Pashtuns. You know that some people want to instigate you against Pakistan and its institutions after being misled by others. I want to say that the Pakistan state feels the sacrifices offered by you and the state is striving day and night to resolve your problems. I want to tell you all that the Pak Army will not take rest till resolution of your problems. We hope you will not be misled by them and stop them as well. We hope you will play your role to strengthen Pakistan,” he said.
