ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday questioned why the federal government was mum over the BBC report that claimed that the MQM received training, weapons and funding from India in the past ten years. Talking ot media on Thursday, the PTI stalwart urged federal government to break the silence and clear its position over the report. “It is surprising that even after 24 hours, the federal government is still silent," he said, while urging the government to clear its position on such serious matter. Also, Qureshi questioned if the MQM considered the report baseless, would it sue BBC and freelance British journalist Owen Bennett-Jones over his report. "Why is it (MQM) silent?" Qureshi questioned. "BBC is a credible media house; it would not its credibility on stake for a baseless story," he stated.
