Governor Houses of Peshawar, Murree open for public today

PESHAWAR/MUREE (92 News) – The historical Governor House Peshawar was opened for general public today. A spokesman of the Governor’s House said initially the Governor House would remain open on Sundays. Another historical building, Balahisar Fort, which currently serves as the Frontier Corps headquarters, would also be opened to general public soon. Meanwhile, Governor House Murree was also opened for public on Sunday. The locals were allowed to visit the state building from 11:00 am to 4:00pm with families, however, no one is allowed to carry eatables inside. The authorities also instructed to keep the parks clean. The people were instructed to bring their National Identity Cards (NIC) with them for entry from the Anarkali gate in front of Al-Hamra Art Council. Talking to journalists on this occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Sadaqat Ali Abbasi said all such buildings will be utilized for public. Earlier this month, Governor House Punjab along with the Governor House in Sindh was opened to the public after receiving Prime Minister Imran Khan’s directives on the matter.
