Govt allies express reservations about increasing prices of POL products

LAHORE (92 News) – The PML-Q and the MQM-P, the government allies, have expressed reservations about the increasing prices of the POL products.

During a meeting of the PML-Q led by Tariq Bashir Cheema, the participants expressed their grave concern over the increase in the POL products.

They demanded that the government should immediately withdraw the increase in the prices. "The situation will not be controlled if the relief was not provided to the common man," they added.

Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi also took the party members into confidence over their meetings with the opposition leaders. All PML-Q lawmakers authorized Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi to make decisions.

Meanwhile expressing a grave concern over the increase in the POL products prices, the MQM spokesperson said that they are an elected representatives and are answerable to the people. "The people will not be able to bear the burden of inflation for a long time. How long the government will continue to impose the burden," he added.

The spokesperson demanded that the burden of the direct tax should be shifted onto the elite. He demanded that the government should immediately withdraw the increase in the prices of POL products.
