Govt allows JUI-F’s Azadi March within ambit of court verdicts, constitution

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government conditionally allowed the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) to launch Azadi March on Wednesday. According to the decision made by the Dialogues Committee during a meeting, the march can be launched within the ambit of court verdict and the constitution. Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that they believe in the democratic traditions. “We will not create problems for the masses by blocking roads,” he said. He said that impractical demands will not be accepted. 92 News had aired the news about the permission by the government on October 16. Meanwhile, the Dialogues Committee has informed Rahbar Committee chairman Akram Durrani about the government decision regarding the Azadi March. On the other hand, the opposition team has also expressed its willingness to hold dialogues with the government. Both teams are expected to meet on Thursday.
