Govt announces action against officers expressing views on media

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has announced action against the officers expressing their views on the media. According to a letter sent to all departments by the Establishment Division on Saturday, government officers' statements on the media cause a loss to the national interests. The letter asked the officers not to give their statements on electronic, print and social media, terming it violation of the Civil Servants Rules Conduct 1964. It said that the publication of government documents and other content earns embarrassment for the government. "Such statements affect country's relations with friend countries," it added.
