ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that the government decided to conduct forensic test of alleged video, released by PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, to check its credibility. Addressing a press conference, the special assistant said that the fingers were raised on honorable accountability judge Arshad Malik through controversial video tape. She also said that the presser of ‘group of deceivers’ (wardati tola) was ridiculous and just only political theater. “This gang has been continuously involved in deceiving the general public.” “Yesterday Maryam Safdar’s press conference was suicide attack on PML-N,” the special assistant mentioned. “Now the thieves will not run to carry coal to Newcastle,” she added. Dr Awan recalled yesterday’s press conference, and said the president of the PML-N appeared helpless as the character of an honourable judge was targeted. “Typical tactics were used against state institutions in yesterday’s presser,” she explained. She said it has always been the hallmark of the PML-N to target, challenge and malign the state institutions such as the judiciary. She said through such cheap tactics, they could not escape or avoid accountability. “Those elements who prepared this audio and video will also be exposed and a stern action will be taken against it as per the PEMRA rules and regulations,” she concluded. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbASrFfqzpM Earlier today, in her tweet, Firdous Ashiq Awan said broadcast of the video has revealed the reality of the two certified liars. She said that one character is a murderer and gangster while the other is notorious for committing forgery of caliber font. She said these characters are involved in benami transactions. In another tweet, the special assistant said that the process of recovering amount from those who plundered the national exchequer will go ahead. Awan cited Nawaz Sharif is in jail and under what capacity Maryam Nawaz continued to use official bullet car proof. She said those who used to plunder the national exchequer, it is hard for them to spend from their own pockets. On the other hand, a video footage shown by PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz at press conference was baseless and contrary to facts, said Accountability Court judge Arshad Malik. Rejecting the allegations leveled by the PML-N leaders, the judge clarified in an official statement that the video shown to media is fake. A press release while quoting Arshad Malik further said the conversation presented to media in video, was totally wrong and out of context. “Leveling severe allegations against me is a plot to damage my repute and of my family and institution,” the judge said in the statement. Arshad Malik said he had old acquaintance with Butt and that the latter and his brother Abdullah met the former many times in the past.
