ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government based on the monopoly of one party in Afghanistan is unacceptable.

This was stated by a delegation of Afghan political leaders during a press conference at a local hotel on Thursday. "Taliban will face the same fate if they repeated the mistakes of 1996. Pakistan has changed and a change in thinking in Afghanistan is also inevitable," they maintained.

They said that Afghanistan former president Ashraf Ghani used the system for discrimination and pushed the minority groups to the wall. "Afghanistan and Pakistan are dependent on each other for peace and stability. We want to start a new chapter of relations between both countries," they added.

They said that there are several enemies of peace and stability in Afghanistan. "Harmony and power-sharing is inevitable for all Afghan groups and religious schools of thought," they maintained.

The delegation said that an important meeting of all Afghan groups would be held soon. "Today's Afghanistan is different from the country in 1996. The young generation believes in progress and modernism," they said.

They said they knew that Ashraf Ghani will flee from Afghanistan. "Ahsraf Ghani did not play a responsible role in the dialogues and peace process," they added.
