Govt committed to extending all possible facilities to exporters: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government is committed to extending all possible facilities to the exporters to enhance country's exports both in goods as well as services. Talking to a delegation of leading exporters from various sectors in Islamabad, the premier emphasized the need for greater focus on capitalizing country's potential in services related exports. PM Khan expressed satisfaction that Pakistan's economy is moving in the right direction and constantly showing growth in exports after a global slump caused by COVID-19 pandemic. The prime minister said that the government is vigorously pursuing 'Made in Pakistan' policy, to promote export-led industrialization in the country. Earlier, PM Imran Khan, taking notice of the worsening situation in Karachi, has directed all federal departments to provide maximum relief to citizens. He also directed the federal departments to utilize all resources in this regard. The prime minister also lauded the steps being taken by the Pak Army and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in the rain-affected areas of the city. PM Imran Khan said that the federal government would not leave the people of Karachi in this difficult time. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited rain-hit areas of Karachi and directed to speed up water drainage system. Murad Ali Shah has directed commissioner Karachi to take steps on war footing basis to evacuate people stranded in water due to overflowing of Malir river and Sikhan nullah after heavy rains in Karachi.
