Govt decides to amend Code of Criminal Procedure

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has decided to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). After the amendment, the police will inform any person in written about his/her arrest. According to the amendment, the police will be bounded to tell the person the reason behind his/her arrest. The arrested man will be able to inform his family and hire a counsel of his choice. The provinces will be consulted with regard to amendment.
