Govt decides to establish a new airline within 120 days

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has decided to establish a new airline to be formed within 120 days.

It was decided during a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The meeting also decided not to hold talks with the striking PIA employees.

On the other hand, the PIA has signed an agreement with Etihad Airways. Earlier, it signed an agreement with Shaheen Airlines.

The Civil Aviation Division has given the full control of the PIA to Shaheen Airline. The Shaheen Airline planes will fly on the routes of the PIA.

The private airlines will run the PIA flight operation till privatization of the national flag carrier.

Sources revealed that private airlines would use the PIA planes.
