Govt decides to present federal budget on June 12

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The government has decided to present the federal budget on June 12.

According to sources, a meeting of the National Economic Council will be held on June 9. A survey of the targets of the economic progress will be conducted on Juen 11.

The sources said that the government had decided to abolish the government expenditures and subsidies completely. They added that the inflation rate would be fixed at 12 percent. “The GDP growth will be 3.6 percent. A 15-20 percent increase has been proposed in the budget.”

Sources in the Finance Ministry said that a budget of US$28 billion will have to be rolled over to run the country. “The IMF Package will be insufficient to make payments of the loans and import for not getting the roll over,” they disclosed.
