Govt demands guarantee from Nawaz Sharif not cash: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said that the government demanded guarantee from former prime minister Nawaz Sharif not cash. Speaking to the journalists, the special assistant also said that the statements are being given regarding Nawaz Sharif’s departure for medical treatment. “Prime Minister has directed not to play politics on the health of Nawaz Sharif,” he added. Firdous Ashiq Awan also termed that the former premier has been allowed his treatment from abroad on the humanitarian grounds. “Nawaz Sharif can travel abroad for medical treatment after submitting indemnity bonds,” she added. The special assistant said that the government did not demand for any cash or property from Nawaz Sharif. “Only guarantee was demanded to fulfill the legal requirement. You should fulfill the legal requirement and deposit the indemnity surety bond and leave abroad for medical treatment,” she explained. “The name of convict cannot be removed from exit control list (ECL),” she said, adding that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan gave priority to humanity in Nawaz Sharif’s case. “The PML-N spokespersons are pushing this serious matter towards politics. Your match is not T20 or ODI with us, this is a big series. The opposition should not try to hit boundaries on the health of Nawaz Sharif. The PML-N spokespersons are busy to mislead the public,” Firdous maintained. The special assistant further mentioned that the government threw ball into the court of the PML-N and the Sharif family should take benefit from the government’s facility. Referring to the JUI-F’s Azadi March and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Firdous Ashiq said that one of our spiritual leader had migrated from Islamabad, adding that his Plan B will also be flopped same like first episode. “Imran Khan scored 126 in the sit-in while Fazlur Rehman was clean bowled at 13,” she said.
