Govt determined to enhance foreign investment in country: FM

KUWAIT (92 News) – Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi has reaffirmed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government determined to enhance foreign investment in Pakistan and provide all out assistance to investors. He said while talking to a delegation of Abu Shaibah Group of Companies led by its Chairman Sayyah Abu Shaibah in Kuwait. The minister has said there are vast investment opportunities in Pakistan in the fields of energy, agriculture, health, education and construction for foreign investors.
Government has initiated economic diplomacy
FM Qureshi said the government has initiated economic diplomacy, and to this effect has directed all embassies to apprise foreign investors on lucrative business opportunities in Pakistan and also convince them to invest in Pakistan. The foreign minister who is currently on a two-day visit to Kuwait said the government desires that Kuwaiti companies should invest in Pakistan, assisting the government to accomplish this agenda. He said investment of Kuwaiti companies in Pakistan will be welcomed. The Kuwaiti delegation indicated their intent to bring massive investment in Pakistan in near future.
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi reaches Kuwait on two-day visit
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reached Kuwait on a two-day visit on Saturday. UAE Deputy Assistant for Asian Affairs Salam Al Hamdan and Pakistan officials welcomed the foreign minister. He will meet his Kuwaiti Ameer, his counterpart and high-ranking officers during the tour. Talking to media before leaving for Kuwait in Islamabad, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that visa matters and bilateral issues will come under discussion during visit. FM Qureshi said that his visit will help further strengthen relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
