Govt doesn’t seem to be serious in talks, says Akram Durrani

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition parties are adamant to hold the Azadi March and have linked the march to not to create hurdle in it. Talking to the media after a meeting of the Rahbar Committee on Monday, Akram Durrani that the government does not seem to be serious in the talks. “The government should first accept the constitutional right of the protest,” he said. Akram Durrani said that there will be no compromise on the Azadi March. “The prime minister announces to form a committee on one side and calls the names of the opposition on the other hand,” he said. Akram Durrani assured the government that their protest will be peaceful. “It is our right to stage the protest. We are ready to hold talks with the government if the government accepts our constitutional right,” he said. He said that Rahbar committee comprises of nine parties. “I warn the administration not to resist to the march. We understand the border situation and will not allow anyone to enter an inch of Pakistan,” he said. Durrani said that no member could hold talks with the government individually.
