Govt employees likely to get pay raise up to 10-15 percent in budget
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The government employees are likely to get a pay raise up to 10-15 percent in the coming budget.
According to sources, the government has also decided to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62 years. A voluntary contribution pension system will be introduced for the government employees recruited under the pension reforms.
Under the pension reforms, the retired employees will be eligible to get pension for only 20 years instead for lifetime.
Moreover, the government is likely to limit the period of the family pension to 10-15 years. The pension of a retired government employee’s daughter is likely to be abolished.
