PM Shehbaz Sharif announces waiver of fuel adjustment charges up to 300 units

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that they had evaded bankruptcy by signing an agreement with the International Monetary Fund.

Addressing the MNAs and MPAs on Thursday, he said that Imran Khan wanted to see Pakistan becoming a bankrupt country and akin to Sri Lanka.

He said that the previous government received the highest loan and gave no relief to the masses. "The country was pushed on the verge of destruction by reducing the prices of oil. The previous government first exported wheat and then imported it at a high rate," he added.

The prime minister said that liquefied natural gas (LNG) was available at US$4, but did not purchase it. "The former rulers sat cross-legged and did nothing except giving the lectures," he added.

He also announced a waiver of the fuel adjustment price for the consumers up to 300 units. "The government increased the petrol price by Rs2.07 under compulsion," he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that a liar and country's enemy bigger than Imran Khan had not born yet. "There is no example of the way he was fed during the last 75 years," he added.
