Govt faces no threat from SC judgment, says Azam Nazir Tarar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has said that the government faces no threat from the government.

Reacting to SC judgement on Friday, he said that the government still has a majority of 209 members in the House.

“It is premature to tell whether the government will file the review petition or not. We will review the SC judgment. The law says that a judgment cannot be pronounced without listening to anyone. The PTI was not a party in the case. The seats should have been given to the Sunni Ittehad Council, which had gone to get the relief. To contrary, the relief has been given to the PTI,” he maintained.

He said that it was mandatory for the political parties to decide on filing the review petition.
