Govt firmly determined to make Pakistan as corruption free country: Sarwar

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Sunday has said that the government is firmly determined to make Pakistan a corruption free country. The Punjab governor stated while during a meeting with a delegation of Punjab ministers including Raja Basharat, Ansar Majeed and Rai Taimoor Khan. They also discussed political and government matters during the meeting. On the occasion, the Punjab governor said that the nation knows the opposition is fighting for their survival. The public does not rely on the opposition and the opposition parties also do not trust one another,” he maintained. The governor reiterated that the indiscriminate accountability process will continue till the accountability of the last corrupt person. He also said that stopping authorities from transparent and fair accountability is not in the favor of national interest. Chaudhry Sarwar also mentioned that opposition parties’ dream of midterm elections in Pakistan will never be fulfilled. “Only PTI has right for mandate till 2023 in the country. The opposition parties are frightening that if the incumbent government completed its constitutional five year tenure than their shop will be closed,” he added. The Punjab governor further mentioned that Pakistan is becoming strong and stablised under the leadership of PM Imran Khan. “The government is practically working on different development projects for the general public. The government is trying utmost to bring down the price of items of daily use,” he said. Earlier today, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has assured that all those responsible will be held accountable and penalised. The prime minister took his twitter on Sunday and said, “I understand the difficulties ordinary people including salaried class are confronting & have decided, come what may, my government will be announcing various measures that will be taken to reduce prices of basic food items for the common man in Cabinet on Tuesday.”
