Govt forms JIT against MQM-London regarding financial assistance to terrorists
KARACHI (92 News) – The government has formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe into the allegations against MQM-London and Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) regarding financial assistant to terrorists and money laundering.
The FIA Counter Terrorism Wing has taken the documents of MQM London Centre Khurshid Begum Secretariat into its custody. Khurshid Begum Secretariat had been gained from the government after paying 65 per square yard on a 99-year lease.
On the other hand, an audio tape of Kehkashan Haider, who ran a target-killing team of the MQM-London, has also surfaced.
CTD Deputy Director Rehmatullah Domki said that the seized documents would be submitted to the anti-terrorism court.
