Government gets three months to privatize PIA

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has on Thursday got three-month moratorium to privatize Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) after dialogues with International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The government faced criticism over the privatization issue during the dialogues with IMF, which started on January 26 until February 3, as the deadline to sell 26 shares of national flag-carrier was in June.

The government gave explanation that the opposition had rejected the privatization ordinance due to which the proposed privatization was delayed.
