Govt giving control of State Bank to IMF, says Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Khawaja Asif has said that the government is giving the control of the State Bank of Pakistan to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Expressing his views on the floor of the National Assembly on Thursday, he said that the national security was being sold out.

"The government should not surrender the national autonomy. The government did plunder during the last three years and weakened the country," he maintained.

The PML-N leader said that the country would have not faced these conditions had the plunder was not done. "The government is making the nation economic slave. Today the nation is ashamed," he added.

Khawaja Asif said that a tragedy occurred in the country on December 16 and today the economic surrender was being done.
