ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah has said that the government has crushed the desires of the common man.

Expressing his view on the budget in the National Assembly on Tuesday, he said that those claiming of giving the tax-free budget have imposed the taxes of Rs 1,200 billion.

He asked the government to make the people's budget. "Medicines have been increased by 500 times. It is bad luck of the country that the educational institutions have not been promoted," he said.

Khurshid Shah said that he was saddened by keeping Pakistan on the grey list. "I have always talked about the supremacy of the parliament," he said.

PPP leader Naveed Qamar said that an attempt is being made to collect money by increasing the prices of electricity and gas. "A new storm of inflation will come," he added.

He said that the government should have imposed direct taxes instead of imposition of indirect taxes.
