ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government has no clarification of the lacuna in the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Bill.

Addressing a press conference along with Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday, he said that the SBP will not be answerable to the government after the approval of the bill.

"The minister responsible for the gas crisis is delivering a lecture today. He is criticizing the previous government in the fourth year of his government," he added.

The PML-N leader said that Urea is being smuggled and sold on the black market under the patronage of the government.

"The SBP has played a key role in the money trail for the foreign funding case. Imran Niazi wants to please the SBP governor. He has become a security risk. The SBP has been given a free hand. Now the SBP head will fix his own salary," he maintained.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the government had created a mafia in each sector, including Urea and medicines. "The fertilizers have been smuggled to other countries. The Urea bag available for Rs1,400 is being sold at Rs2,800," he added.
