Govt has no ego, it shouldn't be responsible for bloodshed: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the government has no ego and it should not be responsible for bloodshed.

In a statement on Friday, he said that the government should resolve the matters through dialogues after setting aside its ego.

"Are the martyred policemen less Muslims than anyone else? People should talk to their widows and children to know about their condition," he said.

The Punjab Assembly speaker said that only the country was suffering losses. "Solution to the problem will emerge from dialogues," he added.

He said that the rulers have no option except to restore peace. "Doors of talks should not be closed. If talks can be held with the enemy country, then why not with our people," he added.
