LAHORE (92 News) – The government has hinted at allowing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for medical treatment. Talking to the media on Wednesday, Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid said that the government would not object to Nawaz Sharif’s treatment, if need be, abroad. She said that she had not done politics on the disease of any person. “I am a doctor first and then politician. My sympathies are with Nawaz Sharif who has expressed satisfaction over the treatment facilities,” she said. The minister said that Nawaz Sharif had been advised to take precautionary measures due to a reduction in platelets. “Nawaz Sharif started bleeding after he used a toothbrush. Now it is under control. The blood pressure of Nawaz Sharif is also normal,” she said. She said that Nawaz Sharif had himself stated that his condition is better. “He is satisfied with his treatment at Services Hospital,” she added. Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the government is striving to provide the best treatment to Nawaz Sharif. “We have asked Dr Adnan to call extra doctors for the treatment of Nawaz Sharif. Dr Adnan has expressed pleasure at calling more doctors,” she said.
