Prime Minister Imran Khan says govt will pardon TTP if it surrenders

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government is holding talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Afghan Taliban are mediating the talks.

In an interview with a Turkish TV, the prime minister said that the talks are being held to disarm the TTP.

"The government will pardon the banned TTP if they surrender. Some groups in the TTP want peace and reconciliation. Some Taliban are agreed to hold talks," he told the Turkish TV.

PM Imran Khan said that he had always been against the military solution to the problem. "We holding talks with the TTP and we might not reach a conclusion at the end," he added.
